As many of you know, I have recently been selected as an LDI Africa Fellow in the Emerging Institutions Fellowship Program (EIFP). I will be traveling to Gambia, Africa on September 15, 2014 to work with a real estate developer.
While I am there for my real estate fellowship, I also plan to provide humanitarian beauty relief to Gambian women. In some of the remote areas of Gambia, women are not afforded the opportunity to pamper themselves. About a third of the population lives below the international poverty line of US$1.25 a day. In addition, the long and hard hours they work to care for their basic necessities have them in the hot sun. Accordingly, I would like to pamper and provide them with skin care gifts that will not only help them relax and feel good but will also provide the much needed SPF protection for their skin. Your contribution will ensure that 1 woman will receive products for their skin. This money will go directly to provide the pampering session and products; NO red tape no middle people. I will provide you with a picture of the woman who receives your gift via Facebook. In addtion, your donation includes a facial for yourself,which will be completed by Tiffany Alston Gray.
